Ground breaking on Uniontown Lock and Dam. This dam replaced the lock and dams numbers 48 and 49. The facility is in Posey County, Indiana and Union County, Kentucky. It was the 17th lock and dam built on the Ohio River. It was renamed the John T. Myers Lock and Dam in 1996.
