Description

Starting in the 1960's two grocery boats carried the name Bonnie & Jill, daughters of Mr. And Mrs. Oscar Hironimus of Hironimus Food Center. I was told there was no heat on this boat, but it had a large compartment to store groceries and supplies to take out to the boat captains pushing barges on the Ohio River. Captains would call in their needs and Hironimus would deliver. Powered by a 165 horsepower General Motors Diesel engine it was capable of 14 miles an hour.
