Description

Believed to be Uel W. Armstrong (1832-1899), buried in Oak Hill Cemetery. He was president of the Armstrong Brothers Furniture Company. Circa 1889 he bought a mansion at 715 Upper Water St., in 1904 this building (no longer standing) became Evansville's first museum.
