Columbia School's basketball team (6 players, 1 coach). This coach appears to be the man identified as Aner Adye in earlier photographs. Adye (1900-1974) was a teacher at Columbia Elementary and Central High School, where he also served as the golf coach. Columbia School, at 601 W. Columbia St., was built in 1874-1875, added on to twice in the next 50 years, closed in 1978 and was razed in 1979. The numbers on the basketball, 22 and 23, probably refer to the 1922-1923 school year.
