Elevated view of Central High School at 203 NW 6th St. THis is looking at the back of the school on 6th St. Evansville High School was the first high school in town and moved into its permanent location at 203 NW 6th St. in 1868. When another high school was established in 1918, EHS was renamed Central High School. Central High School still exists, although it is in a different location and the NW 6th St. facility was razed in 1973.
