Dr. Daniel Morgan residence at 117-119 1st St., originally 417 Upper 1st St. Built in 1874 and torn down in 1930s. Dr. Morgan was a physcian and surgeon, led many community projects and organizations. He also served as a State Senator ans was head of the Evansville Medical College. He died in 1871 and was survived by his wife Mitilda and two children, Miltida Morgan Dixon and Julia Morgan, who never married. His youngest daughter Julia inherited house after her mother passed away in 1887, althoug she is listed as owner of the property in the city directories as early as 1878.
