Evansville Furniture Exposition Co. Bldg. at 1419 Pennsylvania St., originally 301-305 W. Pennsylvania St. Founded in 1870, this factory burned down in 1879 and the current building was built. Around 1900 additional space was added. Universal Furniture Co (wholesale outlet) bought Evansville Furniture Co. in 1936; a large portion was destroyed by fire in 1975. The remaining building now houses corporate office space and, other than general size, does not much resemble what is seen here.
