TY - GEN N2 - A salt pool opened in 1894 and was managed by Dr. Edward C. Cluthe. It was located just west of Pigeon Creek on the presdent-day Buchanan Road. By 1922 it was under new ownership as Fritzlar Mineral Springs. the pool closed in 1937 and was eventually torn down. The Vanderburgh County Humane Society building later occupied this site, but that was razed around 2010. (Engler, Joe. Evansville.
