Map of Howell area on the west side of Evansville: the railroad to the south (Ohio River on right) to Bosse Ave. on the west to Tieman St. on the north. The map is not dated. The Howell rail yard was built in 1889. Howell was a railroad town on the far west side centered around the old Howell Train Yard. It was named after Lee Howell, the local general freight agent for the L&N Railroad. It was annexed by the city in 1916.
