Description

Evansville Press staff on the 25th anniversary. The Evansville Press was founded in 1906 by Edward W. Scripps as an afternoon daily. Its morning competition was the Evansville Courier. Beginning in 1938 the two newspapers, while remaining separate from each other, shared business operations and put out a joint edition on Sundays. The Press ceased operation December 31, 1998, the remaining Courier is now called the Courier and Press. Photograph from the Evansville Press.
