Evansville mayor Russell Lloyd, Sr. with a model of Lloyd Pool in a presentation to the Parks Board. The pool is at 6101 N. First Ave. Located in Igleheart Park, it is the citys only non-member indoor pool, and was named for the man shown here, mayor of Evansville 1972-1980. Shortly after he left office he was shot in his home and died 3 days later. The aging structure is in poor condition today, and a new pool will be built in Garvin Park and called the Deaconess Aquatic Center.
