Description

Football game at Bosse Field. Built in 1915, Bosse Field is the third oldest ballpark still used for professional baseball, with only the 1912 Fenway Park and the 1914 Wrigley Field outdating it. From 1921 to 1922, Bosse Field was used as a football stadium and was home to the Evansville Crimson Giants of the NFL. Even though professional football only lasted a year, the park was used by local high school football teams into the 1970s. Photograph from the University of Evansville.
