Parade on Main St. The marching band is from Baker School. The school was at 1 W. Virginia St. The school was built in 1871-1872, with additions and-or new buildings added periodically up through 1922. Around 1890 the word, Ave. was dropped from the name. The school closed in 1973 and was razed in 1976. The location shown here is 116-118 Main St., in front of the R & G Furniture store. The store located here in 1904, in the circa 1896 Ichenhauser & Sons store. It was razed about 1968.
