Description

Identified as 16-18 year olds on Woodlawns semi-pro team that played at Bosse Field: L-R (first row) Lawrence Taylor, Andy Schoenbaechler, John Steinmetz (second row) Harry J. Fitzgerald, Joe Kremler, Red Fitzgerald, and Marcellers Stanfield. This baseball team was comprised of staff from the state hospital for the mentally disabled. The local state hosopital was called Woodmere, so if this is the local team, then the name is slightly different. Built in 1915, Bosse Field is the third oldest ballpark still used for professional baseball, with only the 1912 Fenway Park and the 1914 Wrigley Field outdating it.
