Facade detail of Heldt and Voelker Hardware at 2100 W. Franklin St. This building was built in 1890 for wholesale grocer August Rosenberger, who occupied it until 1925 when Heldt and Voelker hardware moved in. Sometime in the 2000s this was converted to a restaurant, the Gerst Haus, which still operates today. The facade looks much like what is seen here.
