Description

Sketch of 2 women wearing heavier weight, full culottes, one with a blouse and another with a sweater. This is the cut out of the advertisement, and the copy reads, The great new chic of culottes--for day, in flannel teamed with oxfords, textured stockings and a hand-knit sweater--for night, the longer culotte in grey velvet with a shimmering silk organza blouse and yoru favorite jewels. These by Perry Ellis, of course. The text also includes the name of the store, the address, and Friday hours. Perry Edwin Ellis (March 3, 1940 May 30, 1986) was an American fashion designer who founded his eponymous sportswear house in the mid-1970s. Ellis' influence on the fashion industry has been called a huge turning point because he introduced new patterns and proportions to a market which was dominated by more traditional men's clothing.
