Stringtown School at 4720 Stringtown Rd., at the corner with Mill Rd., with students at recess. At the time of this picture, it was probably K-8, but it is now an elementary school serving grades K-5. Stringtown School/Center Township School No. 1 has been in existence and at this location since 1869. The building seen here was built in 1897, with 1950s and later remodelings and additions. It is the oldest school building in continuous use in the local school coporation.
