Shane Uniform Company and Manufacturting Company at 2015 W. Maryland St. This building around 1910 for the E. Q. Smith Chair Co., and shortly thereafter (1913) reorganized as Wertz-Klamer Furniture. In 1936 it was remodeled for Shane to move in. Shane was sold in 1974 and this became Evansville Garment Corp.; that business closed in 1986 and the building razed, possibly around 1990. NOTE: Evansville Garment also had a facility at 1501 W. Franklin St., and that building still stands although occupied by a different company.
