N2  - Correspondence from Pvt. Leo Volz to Ann Ruxer. He has some time off and so is writing to her, but with nothing going on, he has nothing to say. He says she ought to be pleased to stay home, as all the boys in the Army would stay home if they could, and it might be some time before they will be able to do so. He agrees that if he had joined the Army with Leander (twin brother) last winter he still would be in the states. He's just been paid and is going to town on a 3 day pass, and when he gets back he'll let her know how the hula girls were. NOTE: these correspondents will marry, and were married 53 years at his death in 2000. (Factually, Leander was killed in action on February 14, 1945 and was buried at the Luxembourg American Cemetery. Leo and Martin survived the war and died in 2000 and 1981, respectively.)
