Description

Correspondence from Dottie Becher to Ann Ruxer. (This is believed to be Dorothy Becher Brosmer.) Just home from school, she says she has lots of homework. She knows Ann still likes Coon. She thanks Ann and her family for their hospitality over the weekend. She fought sleep all day Monday but it was worth if for the good time she had. She's received a letter from Johnny Kunkler, but hasn't heard from Hip (Hilbert Graman). There's a lot of turmoil in her family over her seeing Ham (her boyfriend), who is also her cousin. He doesn't come over any more, and her parents don't want her to see him. She was asked if she saw him over the weekend and she said yes; her mother has prohibited her from visiting St. Meinrad if she cannot keep away from him--she says she cannot keep away from him. He's not allowed to come to her house and she's not allowed to come down. His folks also don't' like them dating, even though Ham says that's not true. She doesn't know what to do. Ann has invited her to something Sunday and she thinks she might manage to come and they'd have fun, but she tells Ann not to tell anybody about this.
