Steeple of St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 301 SE 1st St., formerly 601 Upper 1st St. This is the 2nd St. Paul's at this location--the first was built in 1839, and torn down to build today's church in 1886. Fire damaged the church interior in 1938 but it was rebuilt the following year. The spire was used as a marker by steamboats.
