The facades of these buildings still stand--on the right is 413 Main St., now a law office. The Barrett's shoes building, at 415 Main St., is now a restaurant. Before it was a restaurant, ""it was the Barrett-Britz Building. The Britz was built in 1875 and was originally a tannery and leather dealer with a renaissance-esque style, including Italianate architecture-style and several other European influences. In a period where most buildings had steel store fronts, the Britz bragged elegance with Green River Limestone."" (real estate database listing). Before the 1st restaurant opened in 1995, it was extensively and lavishly restored.
