Description

Old Central High School at 203 NW 6th St. Built in 1868 as Evansville High School (the first high school, and at the time, the only), the tower and wings were added in 1898. In 1918 it was renamed Central after another high school was built. A new Central High School opened in 1971, and this structure was razed in 1973.
