Description
Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). It's Sunday afternoon and he's tired. He just came back from chow and after standing in that line you just get worn out. The one thing he dislikes about this camp is standing in line to eat. He will finish school in 3 weeks and he'll be glad. It gets boring with the same topics over and over. He went to a dance at the post last week and got the telephone number of a ""sweet little thing"" from town, so he thinks he'll head into town and see what's going on. There's a small town about 3 miles away that is which is a typical western town--they ride horses down the main street in town. Gas rationing is a problem there or maybe they just don't know about the wheeled mechanical horse! There are a lot of Indians there. In a postscript, he corrects her on his new address and says that R.M.S. stands for Radio Mechanic Specialist #1. By calling them specialists they must think they know their business, but it sounds good!
