Description

Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). He asks for Bob's (no further identification) address as he's misplaced it, and asks that she explain the delay to Bob. He's enjoying this 4th of July off, just laying around and writing letters; he has a party to go to tonight. Yesterday he had quite a time going deep sea fishing. He's not one of these [censored] but thinks the fish were in the Atlantic and he did not see any. That didn't bother him since he never catches fish when he goes fishing. The coxswain let him steer the boat so he had fun driving around the ocean and riding the breakers. At meal time they took the small boat to [censored] and ate there. No wonder they get fat in the Navy as they get all the food! He went swimming in the afternoon and had quite a day. For God's sake don't tell him Ginny is going to have red hair. Dye it or something--maybe even cut if off and see if it comes in another color. If there's anything he doesn't like in a girl, it's red hair.
