Description
Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). He thanked her for the cake she sent--it tasted really good. He still enjoys going down to the beach and lounging around--you'd think you'd burn out on that, but not so far. It will be strange to swim and sun this winter knowing it's cold at home. The war is looking good and he doesn't see how Hitler can last that much longer. After that it should soon be over. He's going over to another island on a five day pass. He hopes to get a plane ride and see the islands from the air. He's looking forward to seeing some football games as there are some good teams there. He asks how Bosse High School's chances are. The mail is fouled up again--it hasn't been right since the President was there. He's going to a show tonight so he closes with noting that it's hard to write with nothing new happening, and what he'd like to say, he can't.
