Description

Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). He asks about the family and requests that she send him some addresses so he can write to friends. Mother gave a couple of people his address so he might hear from them. He will be able to tell them more after he's been there awhile and can take and send pictures. He's been swimming in the Pacific and it's fun diving into the waves. He only got sick the first day on the boat over there, but after that the trip was wonderful. Eating on a boat the first time is hard. He thought he would throw up before he finished his meal, and when he finished it, he did get sick. The colors there are like technicolor. He's disappointed that Mother decided not to move--he had sort of planned on living there himself, and asks June to encourage the move. He's in no immediate danger so she's not to worry about him. Send lots of letters since he's so far from home, and be sure to send them air mail.
