Description
Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). He says he's working at the YMCA during his off time, and is the physical director for the younger boys and works Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturday 1-9. He's still doing well at school but this doesn't mean he will pass that Avon test. He hears it's hard and that many do not pass. He will have to take the test around Thanksgiving. That leave has been cancelled so he won't be home for Thanksgiving, but weekend of Dec. 5. They built 5 tube radios this week, and the instructor said that the one he and his Louisville friend built was the best he'd seen in quite a while. He brags that it looked like a factory model, and was the only one that could pick up stations across the dial. He's done nothing but go to school and work at the MyCAA, so he thinks he will go to a movie tonight. He thinks John Burns will be there before long and it will be nice to have someone there he knows. She should buy him some shoes for winter.
