Description

Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). He should be home around the 1st of July--he signed up for his furlough and should get it as soon as he finishes his training on the 29th. She is not to say anything to their mother as he really wants to surprise her. He's going to look into getting a ride on an Army plane--a soldier can ride one for $1 if there's one going the right direction, and this would save a lot of money. This is a lucky break because he won't have another opportunity to get home as once they return from furlough they're usually shipped to their tactical unit and it could be that he would be across before long.
