Description

Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). He has finished his school and now is available for shipment. He thinks he's going to get a skilled rating which is the best possible. He doesn't know when or where he'll go, but he might stay around there for another month. He would like to leave in one way, but not in another since this is a small camp and he has it made in so many ways. He can just go to school and sit around and try to keep out of work; he's getting pretty good as this goldbricking thing. This weekend he's going to Pittsburg, KS, which is supposed to be quite a place. He will travel by train, leaving Neosho at 5:30 Saturday and getting back Sunday night. This kind of breaks the monotony and since the food hasn't been good lately, he likes to eat out. He asks how things are in Evansville. He's heard that Helen (no further identification) really intends to set the world on fire, and says she must have gone over big in a simple sort of way.
