Description

Correspondence from Owen Hamilton to his sister June Meyer (June E. Hooe Hamilton Meyer, 1919-2010 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81471045/june-e_hooe-meyer). He likes his new location and hopes they stay as he's tired of moving around. He's glad she received her birthday gift and hopes that it didn't arrive too late. About all he hears about now is the invasion but has been reading more about the Pacific war than the one in Europe. He thinks the war there may end sooner than he expects it, and he's more than ready to be home. Does she remember Jack Lomax? He was swimming today and met him--there are a lot of guys from home there. The hut they live in is covered with pin up girls...if they only had a radio they would have it made. He's learning Morse code and so has been working hard.
