Photos celebrating the win by Storm Strike of the Tri-State Handicap at Ellis Park Ellis Park at 3300 US Hwy. 41 South. This racetrack began in 1922 as Dade Park but was renamed Ellis in 1954. An interesting anomaly about the park is its location. Due to changes in the course of the Ohio River over time, it is physically north of the river yet still located in Kentucky, not Indiana. Selari's Choice came in second and Buddy LaRosa third. Owners of the winner were William Wheeler, Jim Pegram, John McGarrah, and Mike Pegram.
