Description

Aerial view of the pool at Burdette Park at 5301 Nurrenbern Rd. The park itself sits on some 170 acres and goes back to the 1920s Its name honors Everette Burdette, a young man from the area who enlisted in WWI and was killed in Germany. Originally a salt spring fed a very popular salt pool. Eventually this spring dried up, and in 1961 an Olympic sized pool was opened.
