Pencil drawing of a young man identified as Harmon Meigs (August 17, 1915-February 20, 1995), son of the publisher of the Chicago Herald-Examiner. His obituary says he was retired as a sales manager for E.J. Brach & Sons, and played guard on the 1938 University of Chicago football team, the last one to compete in the Big 10 Conference before the university dropped the sport. During World War II, he was a commander in the Navy, serving in several theaters including Guadalcanal.
