Description

U.S. Marine Hospital at 2700 W. Illinois St., built in 1888 to take care of servicemen. The hospital closed in 1947 and it reopened as the U.S. Naval & Marine Corps Reserve Training Center in 1949. The training center moved out in 1975 and the hospital was razed in the middle 1980s. Here is a room of the abandoned facility with debris on the floor, with a window looking out onto a winter landscape.
