Description
Ozark Hotel remains collapsed due to flood written on photograph. Building still stands, but the roof has been destroyed. Water is very high. This the Mozart Hall on 1st Street, at the corner of Mason St., Cannelton, IN. Built sometime before 1848 when it was first mentioned in a newspaper. It was used for a church, temperance meetings, box suppers, ice cream socials, public meetings, entertainment, fundraisers and it was even a prison at one time. It collapsed in the 1937 flood.
