Description

Crowd of people, standing on shore, many with umbrellas, greeting the arrival of the Mississippi Queen. It appears as though the gangplank is being lowered into position. There are a number of people on the boat, too. There are cars in front of the crowd. The July 29, 1976 Evansville Press called it ""the palatial giant of the rivers." The $23.9 million, 379 foot long boat was to put in just long enough to take on water. (SEE ALSO MSS 034-0631)
