Description

This photograph appeared in the July 27, 1979 edition of the Evansville Press with this caption:""The floodwaters that engulfed Princeton last night weren't entirely bad news. Some used them as an excuse to party." Torrential rains brought 8.9 inches of rain to Princeton over a 48 hour period, and 14.9 inches to English and Marengo, other small southern Indiana towns, causing rapid flooding. Up to 11 counties were considered disaster areas.
