Description

Central and Eastern Illinois (C & EI) railroad station at 22 SE 8th St. Formerly the Evansville and Terre Haute railroad, this station was built in 1907 and razed in 1965. The 4 limestone columns were salvaged and later repurposed as the Four Freedoms monument on the riverfront.
