In 1964 then Senator Hubert Humphrey was in Evansville as the vice-presidential nominee on the ticket with Lyndon B. Johnson for president. One of his unscheduled stops was at Lincoln School at 635 Lincoln Ave., and this photograph probably represents that stop.
