Schnee House: This photo is of the second Schnee home located at 603 West Street and was constructed in 1876. The first Schnee home was constructed during the Rappite occupation of the town, the Schnee brothers having moved to the town from the Quaker colony in Pennsylvania, and that house was located at 517 Tavern Street. The Gypsy Girl Livery Stable was later constructed behind that home. Removal of the later period hardwood floor around the front door, opening on to West Street, of the house. Remnants of a possible linoleum floor, from under the hardwood, can be seen in the corners near the front door.
