The Barrett House was initially located on Main Street and was moved during the New Lanark Construction and William Ford Memorial Home expansion during the late 1970s. The small historic house which had been located on the plat at 604 South Street was demolished to accommodate the Barrett House. Two workmen are removing the asphalt siding from the north side of the house.
