This small brick building is located between 611 Main Street and the Ribeyre Gymnasium complex. It has a long history of well over 100 years. This small shop had been a butcher shop since at least 1888 but which had closed by 1907, see UA58- 8616. At some point it was likely a bait or fishing shop. In the 1970s it was Mounts Tax Service, and then Brush And Comb beauty shop. In this photo the shop is being remodeled inside by five construction workers. Main Street can be seen through the door at the front of the building.
