F. W. Lichtenberger and Sons Store: The store was located at 520 Main Street, on the northeast corner of Tavern and Main. The brick building has been there since at least 1888 since it is shown on the Sanborn Map at that time. F. W. Lichtenberger and Sons are listed in the 1882 Posey County History and Directory as dealers in dry goods and furniture. This historic photo shows two unknown couples in front of the store. The photo must have been taken after 1888 when the porch, seen on the far right, was added to the building.
