School House: This building was established from the remodeled Rappite/Harmonist church in 1874 see MSS 247-5130. It stood where Church Park is now located at the corner of Church and West Streets. This is the original school, before the west side and cupola additions. These additions were made at some point between 1893 and 1899. This appears to be another fabricated photo, with the Working Men's Institute visible in the wrong place in the photo and missing additions of the school by this date. Also, the English and Literature house, small wooden building, is visible behind the school house.
