Schnee House: This photo is of the second Schnee home located at 603 West Street and was constructed in 1876. The first Schnee home was constructed during the Rappite occupation of the town, the Schnee brothers having moved to the town from the Quaker colony in Pennsylvania, and that house was located at 517 Tavern Street. The Gypsy Girl Livery Stable was later constructed behind that home. This is the east side of the house after the porch was replaced. Photo was taken from across West Street in the gardens surrounding the Working Men's Institute facing toward the west.
