Hiatt Wearhouse: This building and mill was located on the corner of East and Steam Mill Streets the plat ran east along Steam Mill nearly to the corner with what is now Short Street. The building was an original Rappite structure, built in 1818, and at that point was a granary. In the mid-19th century this building and the plats, were owned by, Aaron Lichtenberger and Brothers, then Ford, Fitton and Company, and finally George Hiatt.
