Bauer House: This house was originally located on the north side of North Street in town block 2 C/E. It was moved to the new location at 518 First Street before construction on the Atheneum had begun. Elmer Buchta Moving Engineers was contracted for this and many other building moves during the 1970s. This photo shows a crew lifting power lines and wires so the house can move across Main Street. The Wilson Furniture Company store can be seen, across Church Street, on the right side of the photo.
