Bauer House: This house was originally located on the north side of North Street in town block 2 C/E. It was moved to the new location at 518 First Street before construction on the Atheneum had begun. Elmer Buchta Moving Engineers was contracted for this and many other building moves during the 1970s. This photo shows the house being pulled onto North Street headed toward the new plat at 518 First Street. The yellow house, on the left, is now the Orchard Guest House, located at 315 North Street.
