Transparencies and Negatives Collection: Historic photographs. This is a photo of Chaffin�s Corner, which was located at the corner of Church and Brewery Streets. It was called Chaffin�s corner because Lycurgus Chaffin had a large two-story building built on the corner in the late 1800s and it was this structure which burned down in 1893. This location is now (2022) the site of the Mews Buildings.
